This is a semiacoustic guitar with a size of around 15 1/2 inches at its widest point, slightly less than a Gibson ES335. It is a very versatile guitar, with two magnetic pickups and a Fishman Ctrl-x circuit that can blend them with the piezos at the bridge. Its action and tone are beyond anything that I can say.
As all the guitars here, this one is just an example. If you want something similar but it is not exactly what you see, please take into account that you can change a lot of things, many without additional cost. Email me and we’ll talk!
The body of this guitar is made of two bookmatched pieces of wenge wood, hollowed out except right below the bridge (please note that the photo corresponds to a similar guitar). The back is arched, just like the top. Depth at rim: 40 mm.
Carved European Spruce top:
European maple neck, with scale length of 25.5" (648 mm). The nut has a width of 1 11/16″ (43 mm), bone. The fretboard is made ofd ebony, with 24 frets Jescar EVO Gold FW55090-EVO with hemispherical ends. There is a small mother-of-pearl motif at the 12th fret:
The bindings are of mixed types: plastic for the purflings and wood (American Granadillo) for the outer strip. They are present at the top, f-holes, fretboard and peghead.
Ebony peghead face. Schaller M6135 machines, gold with ebony knobs.
This model uses a symmetrical tailpiece. It has no ground connection for the strings, as this is done through the bridge.
Adjustable Schaller/Fishman bridge, with piezo saddles.
The output jack is here, at the side.
The pickups are my own, type T569 with a curly walnut case. The rings are made of ebony. The Fishman piezo bridge can be blended with the magnetic pickups with the Fishman Ctrl-x preamp. There is a battery box at the back:
Nitrocellulose finish, natural.
